If you are on main campus, we will pick you up and give you a ride to your destination within the main perimeter of campus. On your way to class or back to your room, we will ask you trivia questions related to health and wellness! The first 20 passengers will receive $5 Eagle Dollars on their Eagle Account within 1-3 business days, which can be used for student printers, laundry facilities, vending machines, dining locations. Passengers must sign a form in order to receive the $5 in their Eagle Account.

The sailing club is having its first meeting of the semester at the North Lake Waterfront on Friday, September 12th, from 2:30-4:30 pm! Come by if you want to meet fellow sailors, learn how to sail, paddleboard/kayak on the Waterfront beach, or just hang out by the boardwalk. We can't wait to see you there! No sailing experience required. !!! Before sailing, please make sure you sign in on EagleLink, Join the sailing club, sign the Participation Waiver (under 'Forms' on the 'Sport Clubs' EagleLink page), and complete the mandatory concussion test (sent to your email after your Participation Waiver is approved). Please do so 2 days in advance, Thank you :) You don't have to stay the entire time; it's a casual meeting. The North Lake Waterfront is open from 12-5 pm. As of right now, two sailboats are for the club's use during our sessions. Students are welcome to use the Waterfront facilities as students. - Sep 123:00 PMThe Water School Presents: Ecophysiology of hard clams in Southwest FLDr. Melissa May is an invertebrate ecologist and physiologist, who specializes in understanding how marine bivalves respond to environmental stressors. Since joining FGCU in Fall 2020, she has developed a long-term oyster monitoring program in Estero Bay, FL, and is currently working on hard clam and seagrass co-restoration efforts in Charlotte Harbor and Estero Bay, FL. Her talk will highlight some recent work conducted by her laboratory on the behavioral responses of the hard clam, Mercenaria mercenaria, to various environmental parameters, including temperature, salinity, food availability, and turbidity.

Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Garden is a sanctuary spanning 27 acres blending Florida's native flora world-class sculptures, and modern interpretive art. Students may assist kids at crafts stations, yard games, plant sale helper, parking attendants, butterfly hours attendants, garden greeters, cross walk, set-up, clean-up, admissions and runners. This is an in-person opportunity which will occur on 9/13/2025; 9am-2pm is the event. Set up starts at 7:30am and will clean-up 2pm-4pm approximately Shifts are for the entire event.
