- Sep 27–28ISSA Personal Training WorkshopInternational Sports Science Association (ISSA) Personal Training Workshop supplements the online ISSA Personal Training Certification Course. Participants will get hands-on experience to reinforce what is learned in the online class to be able to facilitate program design, fitness assessments, and cueing. This is a two-day workshop. Participants who register for the workshop must register for the online certification course. Proof of payment for the certification must be shown at least 1 week before the workshop. The workshop is free as long as the certification for the online class is paid. The certification course is $399.99. Once registered for the workshop, participants will be emailed a discount link to ISSA online certification. - Aug 18 – Dec 5*Ongoing* Become a Crisis HELPline Volunteer!Mission: Project HELP works with dignity and compassion to ease the pain of those affected by rape, violence, crime or loss of a loved one due to a crime. About Project Help: We aim to provide every member of our community, regardless of age, financial status, ethnicity, and identity. With access to our 24-hour Crisis and Referral Hotline, Sexual Assault Response Services, Crime Victim Advocacy, Sudden Death Response, and Crisis Intervention Services. We strive to give a voice to all those affected by violence, sudden death, and trauma. What do we need volunteers for?: We’re looking for compassionate, dedicated volunteers to support survivors of sexual assault and violent crimes during some of their most vulnerable moments. As a HELPLine volunteer, you’ll answer calls on our 24/7 crisis line, offering emotional support, crisis intervention, and referrals to community resources when needed. No experience is necessary—just empathy, a willingness to listen, and a genuine desire to help. Training is provided. About Project Help: We aim to provide every member of our community, regardless of age, financial status, ethnicity, and identity. With access to our 24-hour Crisis and Referral Hotline, Sexual Assault Response Services, Crime Victim Advocacy, Sudden Death Response, and Crisis Intervention Services. What are we looking for?: SART(Sexual Assault Response Team) volunteers are trained victim advocates who respond in person when a survivor presents for a forensic exam, within 120 hours (5 days) of an assault. As part of our on-call rotation, you’ll accompany survivors at our office in our forensic exam room or local hospitals, offering emotional support, information about their rights and options, and helping them feel less alone during the exam process. SART volunteers must be able to respond in person when called during their assigned on-call shifts. Again, no experience is necessary—just compassion, reliability, and a willingness to show up when someone truly needs support. Full training is provided, and staff are always available for guidance. Volunteers are on call 24/7 during their assigned day(s). We are currently looking to fill open shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but are happy to consider availability on other days as well.
