- Aug 4 – Dec 5Volunteers Needed for Market Strategy Focus GroupThe Cypress Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America would like to focus our energy on reaching out to and engaging youth in our organization. We seek the assistance of a diverse group of FGCU students (and their younger siblings or friends) to participate in a Focus group to meet with the Chapter and discuss the most effective strategies to attract students and youth to our chapter and numerous projects. Meeting in person is preferred, but a Zoom meeting could work depending on volunteers' availability during the Fall 2025 semester. The discussion will be about 90 minutes. - Sep 311:00 AMPugs Not DrugsThis event is an interactive overdose prevention activity that teaches participants how to recognize the signs of an overdose, how to properly call 911, and how to use Narcan. Attendees can spin the “Wheel of Unfortunate Events” to engage in learning and earn free resources and ice cream with participation (while supplies last).
