The Cypress Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America would like to focus our energy on reaching out to and engaging youth in our organization. We seek the assistance of a diverse group of FGCU students (and their younger siblings or friends) to participate in a Focus group to meet with the Chapter and discuss the most effective strategies to attract students and youth to our chapter and numerous projects.   Meeting in person is preferred, but a Zoom meeting could work depending on volunteers' availability during the Fall 2025 semester. Rebel Riders Charities Inc. be hosting a Bingo Night to financially assist to local young ladies, one 10 yrs old and one 30 yrs old, that are currently dealing with Brain Cancer. We need volunteers to assist with reception table, raffle ticket sales, odds and ends throughout the event, etc.   To sign up for this opportunity please email godfather@rebelriderscharities.org   Students who complete this event gain skills in Teamwork/Collaboration, Professionalism/Work Ethic. This event is an interactive overdose prevention activity that teaches participants how to recognize the signs of an overdose, how to properly call 911, and how to use Narcan. Attendees can spin the “Wheel of Unfortunate Events” to engage in learning and earn free resources and ice cream with participation (while supplies last).

The club will be hosting a table at the Weeks of Welcome UREC Well Expo. Feel free to stop by the Library Lawn for a chat and maybe stick around for a quick spar.
