- LocationVirtual and On Campus
- Description
Food & Water Watch is an international nonprofit with more than 2 million supporters, organizing and mobilizing people for sustainable food, clean water, and a healthy planet for all of us. We work to protect people from corporations and other destructive economic interests that put profit ahead of everything else.
Join FGCU Student Grassroots Leadership Project: Affordable Energy and Climate Resilience and gain hands-on experience in effective grassroots organizing and advocacy. This project gives students the opportunity to take real action in their community by collecting petition signatures, mobilizing volunteers, preparing public testimony, writing letters to the editor, and engaging with decision-makers.
As part of this project, you’ll develop valuable skills in public speaking, advocacy, writing, relational organizing, and leadership, while contributing to the fight for affordable energy and a more resilient Florida. Your participation will help build student power, elevate community voices, and make a real impact on energy policy.
Most activities can be done virtually and on campus, but some will be in person. You will receive notice ahead of time so you can plan accordingly. If you are interested in participating in this opportunity, please fill out this form!
