Help us make art accessible and fun for everyone! Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination by offering programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. At the Youth Center, we provide a safe and supportive environment where children can develop new skills, build confidence, and explore creativity. What We Need: FGCU students to lead a one-hour prep time and one-hour after-school cooking class (3:00–5:00 PM) for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers will guide youth through simple, beginner-friendly recipes, promote healthy eating habits, and create a fun, hands-on learning experience. No professional cooking experience is required—just a passion for teaching and working with kids. Mondays on the following dates from 4:00pm-5:00pm: September 1st, September 22nd, October 13th, and November 3rd Interested FGCU students should email Megan Francis at megan.francis@uss.salvationarmy.org with the subject line "FGCU Culinary Instructor – Youth Center".
