The Salvation Army of Collier County Fran Cohen Youth Center is seeking enthusiastic FGCU students to volunteer as dance instructors for our after-school program. Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination by offering programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. At the Youth Center, we provide a safe and supportive environment where children can explore new skills, build confidence, and grow creatively. What We Need: FGCU students to lead a one-hour prep time and one-hour after-school dance session (3:00–5:00 PM) for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers will plan and teach beginner-friendly routines, encourage participation, and create a fun and engaging atmosphere. All styles of dance are welcome, and no professional teaching experience is required—just a passion for working with kids and sharing the joy of movement.  Our community garden is in need of some TLC, and we’ll be planting and weeding to help it thrive. Be prepared to get your hands dirty! Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle. We’ll provide all the necessary tools, plus snacks and water—just bring your energy and enthusiasm! Directions: Veggie Village Community Garden is located inside Saint Monica’s Episcopal Church grounds.
