- DescriptionOsprey Lacrosse Inc is looking for FGCU students who may be interested in assisting them in a variety of ways, including: - Help coaching - Taking pictures - Running social media - Getting donations - Keeping stats - Team building activities Dates & Times: May - July 2025. Practices will occur every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM with 3 tournament weekends. - Jun 162:30 PM*Ongoing* *On-Campus* Volunteers Needed to Assist the Special Olympics as a Play Pal!This is an innovative sports play program for children ages 2-7 with intellectual disabilities and their peers, designed to introduce them into the world of sports. The benefits to this program have been proven worldwide. First and foremost, these activities will help the children improve physically, cognitively and socially. This program will also raise awareness of the Special Olympics program and serve as an introduction to the resources and support available within Special Olympics Florida families, agencies and schools. Volunteers will act as play pals for children with/without disabilities for children between the ages of 2-7. The volunteers will need to be their 30 minutes before the start of the session for debrief, training and overview of the day. Volunteers will also need to stay 30 minutes after the session ends for clean up and reorganization. Volunteers are needed on Mondays and Wednesdays of June from 2:30-4:30 PM (2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, and 25th) Volunteers are asked to serve the entire time!
