Volunteers Needed at Hearts & Homes for Veterans (HHV)

    Hearts & Homes for Veterans (HHV) is a local non-profit organization supporting homeless and near homeless Veterans and their families. They are looking for FGCU students to come and assist them at the following events: Greens of Honor- Friday, October 3rd Event: HHV Golf FundraiserLocation: Plantation Golf & Country ClubTime: Starting at 11:00 AMNotes: Multiple volunteer shifts available   Lee County Senior Expo- Saturday, October 11th Location: NFM Recreation Center📍 2000 N. Recreation Park Way, North Fort MyersTime: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PMNotes: One-day event; great community outreach opportunity   VET Fest - Saturday, November 1  Location: Cape Coral Museum of History📍 544 Cultural Park Blvd, Cape CoralTime: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMNotes: Volunteer shifts available   Thursday, November 13 – VET Fest 2025 Location: Lakes Park Regional Library📍 15290 Bass Rd, Fort MyersTime: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PMNotes: Afternoon outreach and community engagement   American Legion Auxiliary 415 Event - Tuesday, December 9  Location: Babcock RanchTime: 6:00 PMNotes: Evening event supporting veterans and their families   🚗 2nd Annual HHV Car Show - Saturday, February 28 Location: German-American Club, Cape CoralTime: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMNotes: Several shifts and multiple volunteer roles available Additional volunteer opportunities onsite at HHV:- Social media specialists.- Pantry move – Date: TBD Probably around October. HHV expected to close to public.- Warehouse assistance.- Pick up & Delivery of furniture assistance. Note: HHV is open Mon - Thurs, 8 am - 2:30 pm and is also closed on all federal holidays.
