🩺 Opportunity Overview
Florida Gulf Coast University students are invited to take part in a dynamic service-learning experience at Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) – an Advanced Community Health System serving Southwest Florida.
Volunteers will gain behind-the-scenes exposure to both clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments, allowing you to develop your critical thinking, teamwork, digital, and communication skills. You'll contribute meaningfully to NCH’s mission of helping people live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
 
💡 What You’ll Do
-Support healthcare teams (clinical & non-clinical)
-Participate in projects such as:
-The Greenroom Project: Student's will work to enhance the surgical waiting room for patients by using certain plants and ideas to increase mood and decrease stress levels for patients and family.
-Get Connected Implementation: Volunteer's will learn how to navigate their new volunteer platform and be responsible for helping with training and implementation.
-Rounding Volunteer: Volunteers will assist their staff in enhancing their patient experience by rounding amoungst floors to support patient needs.
-Social Media Volunteer: Volunteers will assist their staff in enhancing their current social media platforms to create a virtual connection that is meaningful.
-Observe professional practices in a fast-paced medical environment
-Build professional connections with healthcare experts
