Risks include, but are not limited to, risks of participation in the various components of the Activity, and all risks related to any physical or other condition from which I might suffer. I acknowledge that the University does not provide personal accident/health insurance or medical personnel for myself. I authorize the FGCU staff to perform on site emergency first aid. I authorize FGCU staff to contact local emergency medical care services in the event of a medical emergency. I assume personal and financial responsibility for any medical care and treatment I may require as the result of participating in the Activity. I acknowledge that this Release applies to all medical care and treatment that is provided or obtained by the University as a result of my participation in the Activity. Event: Vanderbilt Beach Cleanup
Date: September 20, 2025Time: 9:30 AM to 11:00 AMLocation: Vanderbilt Beach Park (100 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL 34108)   We provide Free Parking at Parking Garage thanks to Collier County Parks and Rec.   What To Bring: Reuseable water bottle and wear comfortable clothes. We suggest a hat and sunglasses.   What We Provide: All tools needed, sunblock, water refill jug, light snacks, and designated team members who take pictures and ensure safety.   Safety Guidelines: Drink plenty of water and take breaks as needed. Set a timer to come back at a set time. Watch out for sharp objects, glass, and wildlife. Avoid heavy lifting and work with a buddy at all times. Do not touch hazardous materials such as needles or chemicals. Report heavy items to our designated team member.   Post Cleanup: Weigh your buckets and join the group photo at 10:45 am.   Why Help: Beach cleanups are a last line of defense to prevent debris from causing harm to our oceans, to wildlife, to our coastal economies, and even beach-goers.
