Students will assist with preparation for community outreach activities in the Lee County area. Students will have one-on-one interactions with community members, low-income populations, homeless populations in some aspects, and young adults. Students will assist in preparing promotional items such as condoms, pamphlets, and swag items for outreach activities. We’re looking for FGCU students to volunteer at the Labor Day 5K on Monday, September 1st from 7:00 AM–10:00 AM at Baker Park. This community race is hosted annually by Gulf Coast Runners, and Fun Time Early Childhood Academy is proud to be this year’s beneficiary.   Volunteers will help with: - Event setup and breakdown - Water stations and snack tables - Distributing t-shirts and runner welcome bags - Cheering on runners along the route   It’s a great way to get involved in the community, earn service-learning hours, and support early education in Collier County.   About Fun Time Early Childhood Academy:Our mission is to provide affordable, high-quality early learning for underserved children from working families, preparing them for success in kindergarten and beyond.
