- DescriptionTurning Point Church in Bonita Springs is in need of FGCU students to serve in-person on Sundays from 8:30 -10:30 am and/or 10:00 am - 12:00 noon to engage with children from babies to 5th grade in their classrooms, once or twice per month. This will run from September 7th until December 28th. Background check required (no charge). Additional opportunities available.Turning Point Church is a non-denominational church in Bonita Springs. - Oct 63:00 PMShare Your Creativity: Teach Pottery to Youth at The Salvation Army of Collier CountyThe Salvation Army of Collier County Youth Center is looking for FGCU students to volunteer as pottery/ceramics instructors for our after-school program. Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination by offering programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. At the Youth Center, we provide a safe and supportive space where children can explore creativity, build new skills, and grow in confidence. Mondays on these specific days: August 25th, September 15th, October 6th, October 27th, November 17th from 3pm-5pm What We Need:FGCU students to lead a one-hour prep time and one-hour after-school pottery or ceramics session (3:00–5:00 PM) for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers will guide students through simple, beginner-friendly clay projects, foster creativity, and encourage hands-on learning in a fun, positive environment. No professional teaching experience is required—just a passion for working with youth and an interest in ceramics. - Oct 118:00 AMVolunteers Needed for Babcock Ranch Community Cleanup Event with The Community ChurchWe are looking for volunteers to help the residents and local organizations in Babcock Ranch keep our city clean. We will walk the sidewalks, medians, parks, and green spaces to collect any discarded items and properly dispose of them. Items will be sorted for recycling. Part of our mission, vision, and values is to care for the environment and educate the community on the importance of sustainability. This event is on Saturday, October 11 in Babcock Ranch. The event starts with a safety and strategy talk at 8:00am and debris collection to follow. We meet in the parking lot of the Babcock Ranch Field House near the football field in Babcock Ranch. Items collected will be returned to the meeting area (Babcock Ranch Field House Parking Lot) to be weighed and sorted for recycling.
