The Salvation Army of Collier County Fran Cohen Youth Center is seeking enthusiastic FGCU students to volunteer as dance instructors for our after-school program. Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination by offering programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. At the Youth Center, we provide a safe and supportive environment where children can explore new skills, build confidence, and grow creatively. What We Need: FGCU students to lead a one-hour prep time and one-hour after-school dance session (3:00–5:00 PM) for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers will plan and teach beginner-friendly routines, encourage participation, and create a fun and engaging atmosphere. All styles of dance are welcome, and no professional teaching experience is required—just a passion for working with kids and sharing the joy of movement. Be prepared to get your hands dirty! Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle.
