Girl Scouts of Southwest Florida is looking for FGCU students to volunteer for the following opportunity: Be the Role Model She'll Always Remember! As a volunteer, you'll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they're capable of more than they ever imagined. You’ll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop skills and confidence that will last a lifetime. Imagine the smiles, the excitement, the memories made-those are the moments you'll share at Girl Scouts. Multiple opportunities are available- such as: Troop Leader/Co-Leader - Work with a group of girls and mentor them as they make new friends and develop connections that will last a lifetime; Troop Support Volunteer- Assist with driving, activity planning, snacks, money management or other tasks to keep things running smoothly; Service Unit Volunteers - Mentoring adult volunteers as they work with Girl Scouts and Camp Volunteers helping girls explore nature and find fun outdoors. That involves setting up cookie booths, manage inventory and finances and being there for the girls when they earn rewards for being the best cookie entrepreneurs ever!   If you're interested in this opportunity, click here!     Students who complete this event gain skills in Oral/Written Communications, Teamwork/Collaboration, and Leadership. LARC needs your green thumb and caring hands to help bring our Edible Forest and Sensory Garden to life! LARC is looking for compassionate and dedicated volunteers to work with our IDD community—adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Field Trip Assistants: Do you love exploring new places and sharing experiences with others? As a Field Trip Assistant, you'll have the chance to accompany our participants on exciting outings, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable time. Whether it’s a visit to a local museum, a park, or a special event, your support will help make these outings memorable for our community members. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being active, social, and engaging with others in a dynamic environment. Classroom Volunteers: If you have a heart for education and a love for learning, consider becoming a Classroom Volunteer. You'll work alongside our educators to support adults with unique abilities in a variety of learning activities. Whether it’s helping with reading, math, life skills, or creative arts, your involvement will play a vital role in fostering their growth and confidence. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on someone's educational journey.
