University Recreation & Wellness (URecWell) is a high energy department with many offerings. We are here to help meet the wellness needs of FGCU students. At this table, students will engage with Peer Health Educators to better understand what our department offers, current events, and ongoing initiatives. 

Take this opportunity to learn from professionals about Everglades Restoration while sitting in on an upper-level course. This event counts toward Sophomores Connect at The Water School. Jenna May serves as a biologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District. She has worked with the Corps since 2016 in various roles involving ecosystem restoration, flood-risk management, and navigation. In her current role, she serves as the Corps team lead for REstoration COordination and VERification (RECOVER), the system-wide science and technical team for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. She holds a master’s degree in environmental science from Florida Atlantic University and a bachelor’s degree in wildlife ecology and conservation from the University of Florida. She is from Naples, Florida and has spent 15 years working throughout the Greater Everglades system.
