Mental Health has been a BIG topic recently and there is a lot of information to know. Through this table, students will navigate through the basics and misconceptions of mental health. Through talking about mental health and the stigmas surrounding it, individuals tend to feel more comfortable having conversations about their own mental health. Students will also learn important ways to care for their own mental health.

Welcome to Weights is a beginner-friendly program designed to introduce individuals to the fundamentals of barbell-based strength training. Participants will earn proper form, technique, and safety cues for key lifts like squat, bench, and deadlift. Whether you are brand new to their weight room or looking to build confidence with barbell training, this program offers a supportive and educational environment to help you get started. Get into the spooky spirit with Group Fitness at the University Recreation and Wellness Center! Join us for a full day of Halloween-Themed classes. Take a class and enjoy trick-or-treating fun – participants will receive a festive goodie bag as a sweet reward! In Emerging Eagles Mentor Training 4, students will engage in meaningful conversations and activities to identify facilitation skills to engage mentees in group discussions and activities, for both large and small groups. They will also be able to identify communication skills, tips, techniques, and strategies to feel confident in their presentation and speaking abilities in front of large groups and in small group discussions. Students will be introduced to the content they will be facilitating during EE Sessions to review together.

In Emerging Eagles Mentor Training 5, students will have the opportunity to practice facilitating the content they will be leading during EE Sessions. It will be a run through of all the content for the students to apply the facilitation and communication skills they identified last week. Students are invited to ask any clarifying questions they may have. By the end of mentor training, students will feel confident, prepared, and excited to lead their group discussions and activities for the Emerging Eagles Program.
