- Sep 1312:30 PMVolunteers Needed for What's in the Water with The Water School (FGCU)The Water School (FGCU) is looking for FGCU students who may be interested in assisting them with their What's in the Water event. This is an island-wide water sampling to research water quality in the gulf and estero waters. This is a joint project between FGCU, Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce Water Foundation ROSE grant program, and the Mound House. Date & Time: Saturday, September 13th, from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM. ** Volunteers will pick up collection bottles and instructions at 12:30 PM, travel to their site, collect samples, and return to The Mound House no later than 2:00 PM. - Sep 18 – May 21Volunteers Needed at LifeWise Academy in Fort Myers!LifeWise Academy offers Gospel education to public school students during school hours, with community support and parental permission! They are looking for classroom volunteers who can serve during the school year in our small to medium-sized classes. Volunteers will assist in 50-minute classes for grades 3-5 and will help teachers by: supporting students, assisting teachers in creating engaging and fun classrooms, and keeping students safe while crossing the road between Villas Elementary and the LifeWise program site. This opportunity will begin on September 18th and continue every Thursday until the end of the school year. If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to sign up, click here!
