- Jan 234:00 PMVolunteers Needed for Naples Gala with Breakthrough T1DBreakthrough T1D is looking for FGCU students who may be interested in assisting them with their Naples Gala on January 23rd, 2026. They will need help with sign in/ registration, set up for the various events at the gala, and tear down of the event. Breakthrough T1D focuses on accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes and its complications. Any students under the age of 18 needs to have an adult present with them when volunteering. Date & Time: Friday, January 23rd, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM. - Sep 1312:30 PMVolunteers Needed for What's in the Water with The Water School (FGCU)The Water School (FGCU) is looking for FGCU students who may be interested in assisting them with their What's in the Water event. This is an island-wide water sampling to research water quality in the gulf and estero waters. This is a joint project between FGCU, Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce Water Foundation ROSE grant program, and the Mound House. Date & Time: Saturday, September 13th, from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM. ** Volunteers will pick up collection bottles and instructions at 12:30 PM, travel to their site, collect samples, and return to The Mound House no later than 2:00 PM.
