This Leadership Bites & Insights session invites students, staff, and campus partners to explore the collective impact of The Leadership Experience (TLE). Together, we’ll highlight who we are, what we do, and how leadership development shows up through our programs and people.

The information session is targeted toward prospective RA applicants who are seeking additional information regarding the application process, hiring process, RA position, and general interview tips. 

Join the Internal Communications Committee for its "Community Engagement Showcase: Discover Connections Across Campus” from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Cohen Student Union Ballroom. The event is free and open to students and employees. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and RSVPs are not required!   The event begins at 11 a.m. with opening remarks by University Relations and Service-Learning & Civic Engagement. Guests will then use an event map as their guide to visit tables around the ballroom, enabling them to discover how FGCU and the Southwest Florida community engage with one another to drive student success and academic excellence. This event will enable FGCU students and employees to discover efforts happening across the university and connect with others.   A clock will appear on the screen in the ballroom to indicate how much time people have at each table. At the conclusion of each rotation (when the bell rings), the table presenters will stamp the map of those they spoke to, showing the guests where they have been throughout their journey around the room.    Sign Up to Table: Email the Internal Communications Committee at icc@fgcu.edu. You will receive additional information from the committee on what to expect.   What to Consider When Signing Up: Each table must be prepared to answer the following questions in a 5-minute presentation: How does FGCU work with the Southwest Florida community? How does the Southwest Florida community work with FGCU? Your presentation will be from the perspective of your office or organization, and you should follow it by a Q-and-A with guests. This is a timed event, so guests will have a set amount of time to spend at each table. Be prepared to repeat your presentation repetitively throughout the event. Format of Event: Guests will receive an event map as they enter the ballroom, detailing table locations and starter table numbers. Opening remarks at the microphone begin at 11 a.m. At 11:20 a.m., guests will be invited to visit their first table. A countdown clock will appear on the screen in the ballroom to indicate the time for each table. At the conclusion of each rotation (when the bell rings), the table presenters will stamp the map of those they spoke to, showing the guests where they have been throughout their journey around the room.  What We Will Provide: The university will provide you with one (1) banquet table, a tablecloth, and a stamp to use for the event.    What You Need to Provide: Please bring all other supplies, including display boards, handouts, giveaways, and any promotional materials. You will be responsible for removing all your items at the conclusion of the event. 

To answer our Question of the Month, read our InSTALLment using the Online Location link in this event or reading it in the bathroom stalls on campus, sign in to RSVP, and RSVP YES to this event with your answer. Correct answers will be entered into a drawing for $10 to be added to your Eagle account! For more details on this raffle please see below.*   This month's Wellness InSTALLment is brought to you by Milton Ambroise!   *In order to participate for the $10 Eagle Dollars prize, students will need to answer our Question of the Month correctly. Eagle Dollars can be used wherever Eagle Dollars are accepted on FGCU’s campus. The question is located on the Wellness InSTALLment and the answer can be found within the Wellness InSTALLment. The Wellness InSTALLment can be seen via the Online Location Link in this event, on the University Recreation & Wellness website, or our physical InSTALLments in the bathroom. Students will submit their answer by signing into Eagle Link via their FGCU email and password and RSVPing YES to the event. Prevention & Wellness at Florida Gulf Coast University will be using funds from student health fees to award the $10 to the winner’s Eagle account. As a result, faculty and staff are ineligible to participate due to funding limitations. The winner will be chosen on the 1st of the following month between 8am-5pm via wheelofnames.com if they answered the question correctly, unless it falls on a weekend/holiday to which the following business day they will be chosen. All participants will be notified of the winner via their student email in addition to the correct answer. The prize will be awarded via Eagle account after we receive a signature on FGCU’s prize form which will be located in the Prevention & Wellness front desk in Cohen 161. Proof of identification via Eagle ID is needed. No purchase or contribution is necessary.

These banners, filled with words of appreciation from the entire FGCU community, will be proudly displayed on A-frames at the Annual Veterans Day Luncheon on November 13, honoring those who have served with courage and dedication. Let’s remind our veterans that their sacrifice is seen and appreciated!
