- Oct 258:30 AMGolf Students Needed to Mentor Youth GolfersEngage in Fore The Future Junior Golf Challenge to mentor students (1st grade - 12th grade) of all skill levels and encourage them to enjoy a day of fun, mentorship, and prizes while supporting LARC’s programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Hosted by LARC, this first-of-its-kind event funds lifechanging services for over 300 Southwest Florida residents each year. To sign up for this opportunity, please email Nickole at nickolehendra@larcleecounty.org This event is a youth golf challenge and golf students are needed at each hole to guide and mentor the golfers. This is a great opportunity to help our next generation of golfers. Students who complete this event gain skills in Critical Thinking/Problem Solving, Teamwork/Collaboration, and Leadership. This aligns with the following Sustainable Development Goals:Good Health and Well-being (3), Gender Equality (5), and Reduced Inequalities (10). Photography students would capture incredible moments on and off the golf course of the youth golfers and the event for our commentative memory book that each golfer, donor and sponsor will receive. Be prepared to get your hands dirty! Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle. We’ll provide all the necessary tools, plus snacks and water—just bring your energy and enthusiasm! Directions: Veggie Village Community Garden is located inside Saint Monica’s Episcopal Church grounds.
