There are so many opportunities for volunteers at Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium! We will have a dunk tank and bounce house, so we will need a couple of volunteers to man each of those. We will have tons of games and activities, such as hula hoop contests, a bubble making station, ring toss, a giant Jenga, water blaster fights, etc. that a volunteer will need to help watch over. There are other opportunities as well, including a hydration station and assisting the Event Coordinator.

We are also in need of two volunteers willing to face paint! If that interests anyone specifically, they can sign up for the event and email volunteer@calusanature.org. The same goes for if I have one volunteer interested in doing caricatures. It would be a great opportunity to make families laugh and expand your portfolio. It's going to be an action-packed and FUN day!

Our first-time Summer Festival is meant to be a day for families to come out, enjoy some fun in the sun, and connect with nature before returning to the busy hustle and bustle of the school year. It's important to remember to ground yourself in the middle of all the preparations. That's our entire mission; inspiring people to connect with nature in meaningful ways!

There are two shifts available:

Morning shift: 9:30 am - 1:00 pm
Afternoon shift: 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Volunteers are allowed to serve both if they desire, but it's hot outside! The 3.5 hour shifts are recommended.
