Edison Sailing Center Cleanup After Hurricane Helene

FGCU Sailing Club members went to Edison Sailing Center to help clean up after Hurricane Helene.

On Sunday, September 29th, members of the FGCU Sailing Club went to Edison Sailing Center to help clean up and re-organize after Hurricane Helene. It was an honor to have helped the Edison Sailing Center as they have been beyond helpful with supporting the club and hosting practices/lessons. The Edison Sailing Center had been heavily damaged and disorganized from Hurricane Helene and the storm surges. Our club members quickly got to work detangling lines, moving around boats, cleaning up trash, re-organizing supplies, and so much more. In total, we have donated a total of 24 hours. We are glad we could help out an organization that frequently provides help to FGCU and hope they make a speedy recovery from the damage.
