Eagle Dollars can be used wherever Eagle Dollars are accepted on FGCU’s campus. The question is located on the Wellness InSTALLment and the answer can be found within the Wellness InSTALLment. The Wellness InSTALLment can be seen via the Online Location Link in this event, on the University Recreation & Wellness website, or our physical InSTALLments in the bathroom. Students will submit their answer by signing into Eagle Link via their FGCU email and password and RSVPing YES to the event. Prevention & Wellness at Florida Gulf Coast University will be using funds from student health fees to award the $10 to the winner’s Eagle account. As a result, faculty and staff are ineligible to participate due to funding limitations. The winner will be chosen on the 1st of the following month between 8am-5pm via wheelofnames.com if they answered the question correctly, unless it falls on a weekend/holiday to which the following business day they will be chosen. All participants will be notified of the winner via their student email in addition to the correct answer. Since joining FGCU in Fall 2020, she has developed a long-term oyster monitoring program in Estero Bay, FL, and is currently working on hard clam and seagrass co-restoration efforts in Charlotte Harbor and Estero Bay, FL. - Fri 263:00 PMThe Water School Presents: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Delucidate the Conservation Status of Bull Sharks (Carcharhinus leucas) in the Caribbean: Exploitation, Population Genetics, and Habitat UseDr. María del Pilar Blanco Parra holds a Ph.D. in Marine Sciences and Limnology from UNAM (Mexico). Her research focuses on the biology, ecology, and conservation of fish, with a particular emphasis on elasmobranchs (sharks and rays). Her work integrates diverse approaches including age and growth studies, trophic ecology, population genetics, telemetry, and fisheries management. She has conducted research in highly biodiverse marine and freshwater ecosystems such as the Colombian Amazon, Gulf of California, Mexican Caribbean, Galápagos Islands, and the Arabian Gulf. Over the past decade, Dr. Blanco Parra has been involved with national and international oceanographic campaigns (UNAM, NOAA) and served as a Research Fellow for the Mexican government, based at the University of Quintana Roo. Sun 28ISSA Personal Training WorkshopInternational Sports Science Association (ISSA) Personal Training Workshop supplements the online ISSA Personal Training Certification Course. Participants will get hands-on experience to reinforce what is learned in the online class to be able to facilitate program design, fitness assessments, and cueing. This is a two-day workshop. Participants who register for the workshop must register for the online certification course. Proof of payment for the certification must be shown at least 1 week before the workshop.
