Join us for an eye-opening session about sextortion, a form of online exploitation where someone threatens to share private images or information to demand money, favors, or more images — a growing concern on college campuses nationwide. We’ll discuss prevention strategies, available campus and community resources, and what to do if you or someone you know becomes a target. Together, we can build awareness, reduce stigma, and promote a culture of safety and respect at FGCU.

Join the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) for an informative session on how FGCU supports ethical, transparent, and compliant research across all disciplines. Learn about the key policies, processes, and resources that help faculty, staff, and students pursue funding, manage grants, and conduct research responsibly. The session will highlight topics such as research integrity, conflicts of interest, sponsor requirements, and best practices for maintaining compliance throughout the research lifecycle.

Oral Performance, Final Projects by students in the "Storytelling as Healing" course with Dr. Joel Ying, MD. Open to the Public. Pre-departure meetings prepare students to engage in service with purpose, humility, and confidence with Alternative Break. Through interactive workshops and discussions, participants develop a shared understanding of servant leadership and what it means to lead by supporting others. These sessions emphasize teamwork, active listening, and reflection as key elements of meaningful service. Students will learn, engage, and explore within their Alternative Break Cohort.
