Eagles ready to tee up at Lady Paladin Invitational

Furman, S.C. - Starting Friday the 19th, the Eagles will travel to South Carolina to compete in Furman University's Lady Paladin Invitational, running through Sunday. FGCU will face 15 other teams, including ASUN rival University of North Florida.

Furman, S.C. - Starting Friday the 19th, the Eagles will travel to South Carolina to compete in Furman University's Lady Paladin Invitational, running through Sunday. FGCU will face 15 other teams, including ASUN rival University of North Florida.

The FGCU women's golf team tied for eighth at the Inverness Intercollegiate, finishing with a team score of +66 alongside Notre Dame. The Eagles showed steady improvement over the three rounds, producing a total of 23 birdies, including 10 on Tuesday.

Jordan Fischer led FGCU individually, tying for 12th at +10, while Sydney Deal and Lousiane Gauthier also posted strong finishes. Amelie Alcantara made her season debut, shooting +25 over the two days, including three birdies in the final round to tie for 48th, and Islay Benoit rounded out the scoring with a total of 239 (+26), tying for 50th after back-to-back birdies.

Following the Lady Paladin Invite, the Eagles will travel to Doral, Fl. to compete in the Pat Bradley Invitational hosted by Florida International University from Sept. 29-30th.
