Bjoernholdt named ASUN Scholar Athlete of the Year
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Emma Bjoernholdt was named the 2025 Women's Swimming and Diving Atlantic Sun Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year, the conference announced today. Mia Burke joined Bjoernholdt on the Women's Swimming and Diving All-ASUN Academic Team.
"Congrats to Emma on being named Scholar-Athlete of the year," FGCU head coach Dave Rollins said. "This is an incredible honor for her and her family as she joins an exclusive list of former Eagle award winners that are some of the best to have ever donned the Green and Blue. Congratulations to Mia for being named to the ASUN All-Academic team. Her commitment to her academics is a true reflection of our program's values."
The Danish swimmer currently has a 3.9 GPA while earning her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Bjoernholdt made it to the A-Final of the 500 free at the conference championship placing second with a time of 4:53.87.
Burke currently has a 3.925 GPA while earning her Bachelor's Degree in Health Science. The sophomore made it to the A-Final of the 50 and 100 free at the conference championship finishing in the top five of both.
Next up for FGCU swimming is the CSCAA National Invitational Championship from March 13-15.
