Men's Golf tees off 2025-26 season at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University men's golf tees off the 2025-26 schedule Sunday, Sept. 7 at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The Myrtle Beach Invitational, hosted by Coastal Carolina, will take place at Grande Dunes Golf Club, a par 72 course measuring 7,279 yards. Live results will be available through Scoreboard.
A total of 16 teams will be competing: Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Maryland, Florida Atlantic University, Charleston Southern, East Carolina, Texas State, Old Dominion University, High Point University, Jacksonville University, Clemson, FGCU, Appalachian State, Elon University, Coastal Carolina, Campbell University and Kennesaw State University.
Head coach Andrew Danna returns for his seventh season at the Nest. In the 2024–25 season, the Eagles achieved a significant milestone by earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Amherst Regional, marking the second time in program history that they've advanced to postseason play. The team concluded the season with an 11th-place finish at the regional, with senior Tom Scullion leading the charge and finishing tied for 20th overall. The 2024–25 season also saw the Eagles achieve a program-record low scoring average of 284.9, underscoring the team's growth and development under Coach Danna's leadership. With a strong returning roster and a commitment to excellence, FGCU men's golf looks poised for continued success in the upcoming season.
Following the conclusion of this tournament, the Eagles will continue on the road to the Jim Delapa Intercollegiate hosted by Central Michigan University in Bent Harbor, Michigan.
