- Oct 256:00 AMVolunteers Needed for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of SWFLThank you for your interest! We are seeking FGCU students to assist with our upcoming event, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Southwest Florida, scheduled for October 26, 2025. Students can support by volunteering on event day (set-up, registration, water stations, cheering participants) or helping in the weeks leading up to the event with outreach, logistics, and awareness efforts. This event is hosted by the American Cancer Society, a nationwide, community-based health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Our mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Funds raised support groundbreaking research, free patient programs, and access to lifesaving screenings and care. We would love to partner with FGCU students who are passionate about community service and making a meaningful impact. Students are welcome to attend when they can—there are no required shifts, and they do not need to stay for the entire event. Any time they’re able to volunteer is appreciated. This inspiring event raises critical funds to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses right here in our community.We are looking for dedicated student volunteers to assist before and during the event.
