They will get a chance to recognize successes and areas they want to improve with their personal wellness journey, while learning about campus resources that can support them. - Sep 13:00 PMShare Your Skills – Teach Kids to Cook at The Salvation Army Youth CenterThe Salvation Army of Collier County Youth Center is seeking FGCU students to volunteer as culinary instructors for our after-school program. Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination by offering programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. At the Youth Center, we provide a safe and supportive environment where children can develop new skills, build confidence, and explore creativity. What We Need:FGCU students to lead a one-hour prep time and one-hour after-school cooking class (3:00–5:00 PM) for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers will guide youth through simple, beginner-friendly recipes, promote healthy eating habits, and create a fun, hands-on learning experience. No professional cooking experience is required—just a passion for teaching and working with kids.
