Join SCCF staff for a morning of trail work on Sanibel Island! Come prepared to get your hands dirty and your feet muddy as we help maintain the Shipley Trail in the Bailey Homestead. We will be removing invasive weeds from the path, pulling down vines, and making sure the path stays safe for all users. We will be working with loppers and will provide gloves for pulling weeds. Volunteers will get a pizza lunch after the event! Please come prepared for lots of bugs and sun. We recommend long pants and sleeves. Volunteers should also bring a filled reusable water bottle and any other essentials they may need to stay safe in the summer heat. All volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes.
