Volunteer Needed as a Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology Ambassador for United Way Partnership Schools

    United Way's Community Partnership Schools is in need of a Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology Ambassador. The FGCU Ambassador Program aims to empower selected individuals to act as representatives for our organization, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and ethical data collection and tracking practices. Ambassadors will be critical in supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization and Community Partnership Schools’ campuses. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to enhance the following skills: leadership, professional networking, communication, problem solving, critical thinking & time management. The goal of this program is to provide FGCU students with a service-learning opportunity to showcase their level of expertise while gaining on-the-job experience. A Community Partnership School is both a physical place, as well as a set of partnerships between a school and community resources. A Community Partnership School utilizes four pillars – expanded learning, wellness supports, family and community engagement, and collaborative leadership – to focus its efforts in addressing barriers to success such as hunger, poverty, lack of access to adequate health care, lack of educational supports, and other challenges the community faces, as identified by the community Description: Research & create assessments to track the behavioral improvements of students at CES. •This ambassador will work alongside the Family & Community Engagement and Expanded Learning pillars to assess the impact of Community Partnership programs and services on student behavioral improvements.•The ambassador will research assessment strategies best suited to assess student behavior from an observation standpoint.1. Pre- & post-assessment to assess a temperature check of students; Zones of regulation assessment Expectations: •Ambassadors will serve a year-long commitment to Community Partnership School.• Ambassadors serve a 20-hour per week commitment.• Ambassadors promote accurate and timely data collection for designated programs and/or services.• Ambassadors model best practices for data entry, validation, and reporting.• Ambassadors will attend organizational and campus meetings to report on any data updates. • Ambassadors will provide feedback to improve data processes and systems. Support Provided:• Initial Onboarding & Training  -Ambassadors will receive an onboarding of the Community Partnership Schools overview as well as an onboarding of campus site expectations. -Ambassadors will also receive training of UCF deliverables and standards for comprehension of document expectations.• Ongoing Access to Resources & Documentation  -Ambassadors will have access to respected SharePoint folders for data accessing (Snapshots; Hour tracking; Agendas and Meeting minutes).• Dedicated Contact Person for Questions  -Ambassador will have access to communication chains with core campus team and CPS leadership representatives for support and addressing concerns.• Professional Development  -Ambassadors will have opportunities to enhance professional skills through networking opportunities and experiences with the Community Partnership Schools team.   If interested in any of the above service-learning opportunities, please send a copy of your resume and/or an email detailing your experience/expertise for interested ambassador role to Director, Pathrience' Shaw, at pshaw@unitedwaylee.org. Deadline to Apply: July 25, 2025   Students who complete this event gain skills in Teamwork/Collaboration, Digital Technology, Professionalism/Work Ethic.
