This is our annual toy drive. We are collecting toys for the children at Bonita Springs Elementary School. I was not sure where to put the information, but we do plan on passing out flyers to tell students and employees about how they can participate.

The Roots of Compassion & Kindness (ROCK) Center will be hosting tabling events on the Library Lawn throughout October and into early November, leading up to World Kindness Day (November 13, 2025). Students who participate in tabling can earn service-learning hours while advocating for the Center and helping to raise awareness about our upcoming events and opportunities.

The Staff Advisory Council is organizing it's annual canned food drive to benefit the FGCU campus food pantry. Your donations of non-perishable food items and monetary donations will directly support students and colleagues facing food insecurity. As a thank you for your contribution, all participating staff will receive a treat!

The Social Sanctuary Club is meant to provide a safe environment for people of all ages to decompress from life’s struggles and stressors, as well as be a place to meet new people, make friends, and act as a support system regarding mental health! We have a surplus of video and board games available, provide a judgement free space for open talks, and a Discord server for club members to attend the club remotely!

Join the Gulf Coast Living Lab in the Food Forest for a workshop on birds and biodiversity in agricultural settings! Learn from Dr. Oscar Johnson and engage in interactive activities with us on October 30th, 5-7 PM. 

Everyone has a right to choose what they want to do sexually. To make sure everyone is on the same page and having a good time during sex, consent is a vital part of our relationships. At this table, students will have the chance to learn about components of consent and put their knowledge to the test with scenarios. We will also discuss victim blaming to change the narrative that sexual assault is the victim’s fault. When speaking with a survivor of a traumatic incident, language is incredibly important, so we aim to educate students on how to avoid victim-blaming language in their personal lives.
