Mental Health has been a BIG topic recently, and there is a lot of information to know. Through this table, students will navigate through the basics and misconceptions of mental health. Through talking about mental health and the stigmas surrounding it, individuals tend to feel more comfortable having conversations about their own mental health. Students will also learn important ways to care for their own mental health.

The UBYou Mo-Vember Event is a men’s mental health awareness initiative encouraging brotherhood, open dialogue, and self-care throughout the month of November. The kickoff event includes interactive activities, giveaways, and the launch of the Mo-Member Mustache Challenge.

Hitch a ride on our famous yellow golf cart! If you are on main campus, we will pick you up and give you a ride to your destination within the main perimeter of campus. On your way to class or back to your room, we will ask you trivia questions related to health and wellness!  The first 20 passengers will receive $5 Eagle Dollars on their Eagle Account within 1-3 business days, which can be used for student printers, laundry facilities, vending machines, dining locations. Passengers must sign a form in order to receive the $5 in their Eagle Account.

Skyline Elementary PTO is seeking FGCU students to assist our music teacher with choir rehearsals and performances, supporting our mission to enrich student learning and strengthen the school community through volunteer engagement.   Rehearsal Dates and Times: Tuesday, November 4 – 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM Thursday, November 6 – 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM Thursday, November 13 – 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM Monday, November 17 – 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM   Performance Dates and Times: Wednesday, November 19 – 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Grades K–2) Thursday, November 20 – 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Grades 3–5)  Thursday, November 20 – 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Family & Friends Evening Performance; help needed throughout the afternoon)   Students are encouraged to serve for the entire rehearsal or performance session to provide consistency and support for the choir; however, if a volunteer’s schedule only allows for a portion of the time, we are happy to coordinate partial shifts as needed.   This is a hands-on, high-impact volunteer opportunity where students will gain direct experience working with young learners in a music classroom setting. Volunteers will have the chance to develop classroom management, leadership, and teamwork skills while supporting a large choir, helping the music teacher, and contributing to meaningful school events. Want to learn how to crochet? Need a crafty group of friends? Yarn club is where it's at! Our monthly general body meeting is focused on unwinding over our favorite yarn-related crafts (knitting, crochet, needlepoint, cross-stitch, ect.) and building a community meant for crafters of all levels. People with little to no experience are highly encouraged to come! Yarn and hooks will be available alongside experienced crocheters to teach others. 

The Psychology Club's Halloween event for those who want to keep the Halloween spirit alive after October. There will be candy, a costume contest, and Halloween-themed games. This will be a chill social event to hang out with other psych majors although anyone is welcome!

Heels Hip Hop takes your favorite cardio dance class to the next level! Feel empowered and confident dancing in your favorite high heels – though heels are totally optional. Pre-registration is required on the RecStore website 24 hours before the class start time.
