FGCU students have the opportunity to get involved with “Mind the Gaps” Workshops—regional events designed to identify and address critical gaps in the Florida Wildlife Corridor. These workshops bring together landowners, conservationists, policymakers, and other local stakeholders to develop real-world solutions to protect our state’s most threatened natural spaces. 🧠 What You’ll Gain: Insight into environmental policy, land conservation, and public advocacy Experience supporting collaborative workshops and stakeholder engagement Opportunities to network with professionals in environmental science, government, and nonprofit sectors A deeper understanding of regional conservation issues affecting Southwest Florida 🎓 This is a meaningful way to earn service-learning hours while contributing to one of the most important conservation efforts in the state. If you are on main campus, we will pick you up and give you a ride to your destination within the main perimeter of campus. On your way to class or back to your room, we will ask you trivia questions related to health and wellness! The first 20 passengers will receive $5 Eagle Dollars on their Eagle Account within 1-3 business days, which can be used for student printers, laundry facilities, vending machines, dining locations. Passengers must sign a form in order to receive the $5 in their Eagle Account.
