- Sat, Nov 8Volunteers Needed for SWFL Community Walk with Breakthrough T1DBreakthrough T1D is looking for FGCU students who may be interested in assisting them with their Breakthrough T1D SWFL Community Walk at the Miromar Outlets on November 8th, 2025! Set up will start at 7:30 AM and they are also looking for volunteers to help with set up & tear down, pass out waters to walkers, and assist with sign up. Breakthrough T1D is a nonprofit that focuses on accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes and its complications. Any volunteer under 18 years old has to have an adult present with them. - Mon, Nov 10Dance Instructor Needed for After School Students at The Salvation Army of Collier County Youth CenterThe Salvation Army of Collier County Fran Cohen Youth Center is seeking enthusiastic FGCU students to volunteer as dance instructors for our after-school program. Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination by offering programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. At the Youth Center, we provide a safe and supportive environment where children can explore new skills, build confidence, and grow creatively. What We Need: FGCU students to lead a one-hour prep time and one-hour after-school dance session (3:00–5:00 PM) for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers will plan and teach beginner-friendly routines, encourage participation, and create a fun and engaging atmosphere. All styles of dance are welcome, and no professional teaching experience is required—just a passion for working with kids and sharing the joy of movement. Our mission is to meet human needs without discrimination by offering programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. At the Youth Center, we provide a safe and supportive space where children can explore creativity, build new skills, and grow in confidence. Mondays on these specific days: August 25th, September 15th, October 6th, October 27th, November 17th from 3pm-5pm What We Need: FGCU students to lead a one-hour prep time and one-hour after-school pottery or ceramics session (3:00–5:00 PM) for elementary and middle school students. Volunteers will guide students through simple, beginner-friendly clay projects, foster creativity, and encourage hands-on learning in a fun, positive environment. With a dedicated team of volunteers, board of directors and staff, Community Cooperative stays committed to our core responsibility to collect and distribute resources through a strong and viable network of community partners. Community Cooperative is an exemplary steward of the resources entrusted to us, and serves our clients with compassion and integrity. Through collaboration and ongoing education, Community Cooperative supports and strengthens those whose lives have been affected by hunger and homelessness, ensuring that they have access to the resources necessary to transform their lives with dignity. In order to make the Meals on Wheels program run smoothly, they are in need of volunteers to assist with packing grocery bags for their clients. These grocery bags help provide food security to our most vulnerable neighbors—the medically homebound—in between their regular meal deliveries. Small groups of 3-5 people are preferred! The Wonderland Gift Shoppe gives their Pre-K through 5th grade students an opportunity to give back to their families for the holidays. It allows students to be thoughtful and considerate gift givers just before the holidays. The service includes setting up the shop, operating the shop on a daily basis and assisting students as they navigate budgeting and selecting purchases. This opportunity will be available starting on December 5th, 2025 and continue through December 13th, 2025. There will be shifts that students can volunteer to work ranging from 9:00 AM - 2:45 PM. The Jingle & Jam is a daytime Holiday themed event with music, crafts, vendors, children's activities & garden tours. We need help with parking, craft stations, selfie stations, misc., set up and clean up.
