Student Trading Optimization Club
Our History: STOC was founded in 2022 to get more students involved in the world of finance. In 2024, STOC built a community for finance majors at FGCU and students wanting to learn more about starting a career in finance.
Our Mission: Today, we aim to continue developing a place for students at FGCU to become actively involved in the finance community.
Our 2025 Key Focus Areas:
-Academics: Encourage students to pursue a degree in finance at FGCU by advertising courses offered including the student managed investment fund (Eagle Fund).
-Networks and Careers: Introduce students to industry professionals in Southwest Florida by utilizing the connections of Lutgert College of Business Professors and students. Invite students to attend networking events run by the CFA Society of Naples and SWFL Women in Investment Management.
-Knowledge: Educate students on various topics related to financial markets and the finance industry.
-Mentorship: Recruit underclassmen students interested in finance and provide guidance for them through our upperclassmen and the other key focus areas above.
