Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society
Tribeta is a national biological honors society concerned with improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending the boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Our chapter, Tau Beta, was established at FGCU in 2011 and members are recognized with cords for graduation and other gifts from the national office as well as a subscription to the journal BIOS. As members, you are eligible to present at regional and local meetings and can receive grant money for research. The student must be at least a second semester sophomore, a biology/biotechnology major or minor, have an overall GPA of 3.0, as well as a 3.0 in their biology classes. They must have taken 3 biology classes, with 2 of those in the upper levels. There is a $55 membership fee, but membership is for life and not required for attending our events. For more information, please visit the website https://www.tribeta.org.
