The goal of the IMASC is to support students who have an interest in the accounting field. We help students learn more about the accounting field, network with professionals, and prepare for their future careers. We plan two events during the Fall and Spring semesters. During these events, we invite professionals from various fields in accounting to discuss their company or firm. We also have an annual resume and interview workshop.
Fri, Sep 5"Developing a Resume" Accounting Society MeetingThe Accounting Society is hosting a "Developing a Resume" Workshop in partnership with Career Development Services to help students Develop their resume and feel confident in their resume.
Fri, Sep 12Accounting Resume WorkshopAt the resume workshop, students will be encouraged to create or refine their resume with input from local professionals. Students will have the opportunity to receive a one-on-one review of their resume from accounting professionals. All majors are welcome to this time to network with peers and professionals, while learning how to present themselves to the workforce. Free food provided.
Fri, Sep 26Interview WorkshopAt the Interview workshop, students will have the opportunity to develop and refine their communication skills to for a professional interview. Students will work with local professionals one-on-one to gain an understanding of what organizations look for in an interview setting All majors are welcome to this time of networking with peers and professionals, as students learn how to present themselves to the workforce through their interview. Free food provided.
