Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta is an international honor society aimed at recognizing high achievement in the undergraduate and graduate study of English language and literature. Each year, FGCU's Sigma Tau Delta chapter hosts literary celebrations, fun networking events, and professional workshops geared toward preparing students for graduate school as well as English-related careers after graduation.

As Sigma members, students may participate in the Sigma Tau Delta International Convention, held in a different city each year. Members are also eligible for publication opportunities, scholarships, internships, and grants offered at the national level, as well as other unique professional development opportunities at FGCU.

To join, undergraduates must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and a minimum 3.3 GPA in their English coursework (not including Composition I or II).
