Honors College Info Sessions - Spring 2025 Admission
Students meeting both of the requirements below should have received an email invitation to apply from honors@fgcu.edu to their Eagle Email during the first week of the fall semester.
- 3.5 FGCU GPA
- 12 – 75 overall credit hours (includes credits earned at FGCU, transfer credits, dual enrolled credits, and any other credits earned)
If you believe you should have received an email invitation to apply, please check your inbox, junk/spam folders of your Eagle Email. If you do not see the email, please email honors@fgcu.edu and Honors staff will check your eligibility.
Honors College Spring 2025 admissions application closes Monday, January 27th at 1:00 pm.

More About the Honors College
- The Honors College is comprised of 1,300+ students, representing every major on campus, and is designed to work with your academic goals.
- Three curriculum options provide a flexible approach to reflect your interests.
- There are three ways to earn Honors College course credit, you can integrate Honors College coursework with your other FGCU academic requirements. (not extra classes)
- Honors courses are not “harder”; instead, the class size is generally smaller to include deeper learning and hands-on, experiential work offered in upper and lower levels.
- No Fee! As an integral component of Florida Gulf Coast University, Honors College courses, events, and programming are available to you at no additional cost.
- Honors College students can apply for additional funding to support experiential learning activities, such as, studying abroad, presenting at a conference or purchasing research materials.
- Honors College students are granted many benefits including priority course registration.
- Leadership opportunities include Honors Ambassadors, Honors Mentors, and Honors Student Leadership Council.
Honors graduates routinely go on to professional careers, law schools, medical schools, and graduate programs, many with full scholarships. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunities, mentoring, and tools, to transform their lives at FGCU and beyond.
