Double Header vs Miami Club Baseball

The club baseball team headed down south Sunday for a double header against the University of Miami. In game one, Ethan Klein opened the game for the Eagles and escaped some trouble in the 1st inning. Brandon Barcenas came in for 4 innings of dominate relief out of the bullpen and struck out 4 batters as well in the process. Stepehn Banas, Jordan Cabrera, Matt Roth, and Brady Newkirk led the way for the Eagles at the plate with hits today. Ignacio Castro reached base all 3 times as well. Newkirk, Banas, and Cabrera all had a RBI each today. Andy Dean came out of the bullpen to lock up the 4-3 win for the Eagles.

Game two for the Eagles did not go in the favor. While the pitching staff of Martin Goldberg, Nick Wessling, Peyton Gillispie, Matt Columbia, and Trevor Gray combined for 1 earned run, errors haunted the club today. Nate Wilkerson, Brian Protesto, Dylan Odud, Enrique Santa Maria, and Jackson Burke led the way with hits today. The Eagles fell short of a 7th inning come back 5-3.

The Eagles look ahead to another intersquad at Seacrest Country Day on Nov 7th.
