Hi Everyone,
If you'd like the notes that Dr. Mayberry gave us today at the resume building workshop I can make a copy and give them to you. Thank you to those of you who came out today!
Here are our upcoming service learning events:
- Southwest Florida Reading Festival
- Saturday March 15th
- Need 4 more volunteers for the afternoon shift! 12:15pm-4:30pm
- Choose between face painting or giving out free books to kids and teens!
- It is taking place outside at Harborside in Fort Myers.
- Science Blitz
- Fort Myers Middle Academy
- Monday March 24th
- Wednesday March 26th
- Thursday March 27th
- Facilitating small groups of students with various science activities.
- Sessions run from 10:00-12:00 and 1:30 to 3:30
- Volunteers would need to arrive 30-45 minutes before sessions begin.
- You pick the day and time.
- Children's Museum of Southwest Florida
- Wednesday April 9th
- 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-3:00
- Volunteers to work with children at the museum with a theme of butterflies, dragonflies, and bald eagles.
- San Carlos Park Elementary School
- Thursday May 22nd
- They are turning their school into a fun house because their students have read a total of a million minutes outside of school.
- It will be for the entire school day, so you choose what time you'd like to volunteer!
Lee County Parks and Recreation is hiring summer camp councilors NOW!
