Summer Service Learning Opportunities

Looking for ways to earn service learning hours over the summer? We have plenty of opportunities in May!

Dr. Finley's Social Studies Methods Class will be holding a United States and Regions Fair at Three Oaks Elementary on Monday, May 19th. The will be teaching 4th and 5th grade students about United States and Regions in stations from 12-2. She needs volunteers to arrive at 11 am to help set up, stay during the presentations to help monitor them, and possibly help clean up afterwards. Contact Dr. Finley at pfinley@fgcu.edu if you are interested.

In order to do this they need a large number of volunteers! During the event there will be 5 different stations including a bounce house, crafts, carnival games, jousting, and a stunt show. Students will be rotating from station to station. Volunteers are needed between 8:00am-2:00pm. You can pick the time frame in which you would like to volunteer.
