Motor Show 2021 Cancelled

While we have waited and tried to the absolute best of our ability to avoid it, we have come to the conclusion that, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the extensive challenges that come with it, we will not be able to host Motor Show this year. This decision did not come easy. For the past few months, we have been in communication with FGCU and our partners in order to see (a) if the event were possible and (b) what ways it could be done in order to ensure that everyone was healthy and safe while still having a great time. While many ideas and conversations were had, we concluded that it would not be in the best interest of the show, the club, the school, and the community as a whole to continue on with the show for this year. It’s our absolute top priority that, while our events are a fun time for everyone, that everyone involved is safe and healthy as well.
As of the moment, we are now beginning the planning for Motor Show 2022 (next year). While this year may have left us with no choice in regards to hosting the Motor Show, we are keeping extremely hopeful that this pandemic will pass and we will be able to come back stronger and better than ever. We would like to take this time to thank all of our partners, members, and contributors for helping in the past, present, and the future of this wonderful event. The FGCU Car Club has a bright future ahead of it, and while this year may have slowed us down, it hasn’t and will not stop us from growing. Thank you for your understanding and support during these trying times; have a great and safe break and we can’t wait to see you and your wonderful rides back next semester!
