SCUBA Club bonding at North Lake Waterfront

On Saturday afternoon 4 club members got together at the Waterfront to get to know each other and enjoy some time in the sun while learning how to sail or paddleboard.

As a new club, we want to make a welcoming environment and build friendships. Getting to know our members is really important to the SCUBA Club and we would like to have similar events in the future. Building relationships is crucial to the SCUBA club not only because we are trying to create a community where we can help each other, but also once we start diving we must rely and depend on each other with our lives. The more communication within our members makes for a better diving expierence and also a safer one.

On Saturday from 1 to 3pm or little group of members went out on a sailboat, which none of us were experts in, and worked together as a team to figure it out. It was really fun and a good expierence to share with the other members. We had the oppertunity to ask about classes and Thanksgiving plans, we also had a few good laughs as well. Overall, the event was a success and hope to have a bigger event in the future!
