CSSEC Students Get Hands-On with Git & GitHub
On Wednesday, September 10, the FGCU Computer Science & Software Engineering Club (CSSEC) held a Git & GitHub Crash Course in Holmes 433, where more than forty students gained hands-on experience with one of the most important tools in software development: version control.
Throughout the evening, members practiced running Git commands, visualizing commit histories and branch structures, and setting up repositories to use for their own projects. The session gave both beginners and returning members a chance to strengthen their skills in collaboration, project management, and code organization.
Workshops like these prepare students for hackathons, internships, and real world teamwork, while fostering CSSEC’s mission of building a strong and supportive tech community on campus.
