VIRTUAL COOKING COMPETITION: August Winner and September Announcement!
Announcement of the winner of August’s competition, the theme for September’s competition, and possible prizes.
Hey, Foodies!
August's Winner!
- The theme for August's cooking competition was EGGS.
Congratulations to Ed Saxman for winning the August Virtual Cooking Competition, with his submission of Coddled Eggs!! As the winner, you’ll be awarded extra entries into our end-of-year mystery raffle (and I promise, the prizes will be worth it). You’ll also be featured on our Instagram page as well as our Cooking Yearbook, with more prizes to be announced!
September's Challenge: Childhood Nostalgia
- Now for the month of September, your challenge is a little bit more broad… Make something that reminds you of your childhood! It could be a family recipe, or something you made up - as long as it has that feeling of Childhood Nostalgia, you’ve got it!
Submissions Guidelines
All you have to do to submit a recipe to our Virtual Cooking Showdown is:
- Create a video with a photo or video of your submission in which you give a basic discription of what you made and how it fits the theme. This video only needs to be a few sentences long; just let us know what you made and show that you made it!
- Example submissions are available on our instagram page at @fgcu_cooking
- If you're submitting through instagram, please tag @fgcu_cooking and use hashtage #FGCUvirtualcookingshowdown
Submissions may be entered through our Discord in #virtual-cooking-competitions or through our instagram at #FGCUvirtualcookingshowdown. We’re also opening up email submissions, so please email your submissions to
- ieangelus6325@eagle.fgcu.edu
- cookingclubfgcu@gmail.com
If you choose to submit via email, please use the subject line Virtual Cooking Competition Entry in order to ensure that your email is seen.
Thanks for all your participation and support, foodies. Keep on cooking!
Sincerely,
Your friend, Izzy
