The FGCU Police Department and Heroes Unmasked Inc. (https://www.heroesunmasked.org/) will begin to collect toys and monetary donations for the 4th Annual Toy Drive starting on Monday, November 22nd, 2021. Goal to surpass is 1800 toys!

It’s that time of year again!!! The FGCU Police Department and Heroes Unmasked Inc. (https://www.heroesunmasked.org/) will begin to collect toys and monetary donations for the 4th Annual Toy Drive starting on Monday, November 22nd, 2021. Although last year was a tough year, FGCU was able to surpass our previous two years by collecting over 1700 toys. We are hoping that 2021 will be even better and end on a great note to help children in need! We are collecting toys, gift cards, and monetary donations. The toys and gift cards collected will be for children at state and local hospitals including the Golisano Children’s Hospital. Also those in medical care in their homes around Southwest Florida.

This year we will again be presenting the organizations or groups with a plaque for collecting the most toys. The top overall organization or group will be placed on our annual plaque that will be hung up in our police department lobby. All other participants will receive a certificate. If your department, student group, student organization, fraternity, sorority, RSO, Sports Club, etc. would like to participate please contact me at mkittleson@fgcu.edu. Departments wishing to participate can request a box to place in their space. Any additional boxes will need to be supplied by your department. If your group would like a box, please let me know ASAP as we have a limited number of boxes. Gift Cards and Monetary Donations can be picked up and recorded so you don’t have to hold them, email me mkittleson@fgcu.edu to schedule a pick–up.

We will have a collection box at the FGCU Police Department lobby for those not participating in a group or organization but still want to donate. UPD is located on the north side of the Campus Support Complex facing the Little Eagles Learning Center.

The toys and/or boxes will be collected on December 16, 2021 in the morning. The hospitals request that the toys be new/unopened and stay unwrapped, no wrapped toys please. We are asking members of the FGCU community to dig deep, be generous, and help us support this great cause.  No toy is too small and the joy of knowing that a child in need will be receiving a toy at their toughest time is a great feeling.
