Hazing Prevention Week

Hazing prevention week is a very important discussion topic to help students of colleges understand the definition and how to prevent hazing. The bowling club attended two different events this week, one being the Conduct hearings where we had to ask questions to student actors and determine if the scenario was considered hazing. The second event was the Prevention Tabling, where we learned facts about the percentage of reported hazing cases and we were shocked to learn that it was only 5%. Hazing can not only have physical repercussions but also mental ones as well. This week, we have learned new meanings of what hazing is and how to prevent it thanks to the dedicated students and staff who have put the time and effort into spreading awareness.
