Student Government Spotlight- Lindsey Chandler
Lindsey is involved in Student Government on campus. She started out as a senator for the Lutgert College of Business and enjoyed the opportunity of being a voice for students. I made great friends in Senate and got to volunteer for the community. When the opportunity came, Lindsey became the Chief Justice of the Judicial Branch. As Chief Justice, she educates students on the governing documents of Student Government.
Lindsey Chandler is a Junior majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources. She is from Sarasota, Florida and came to FGCU in Fall 2017. Lindsey has been involved in many different organizations on campus. She loves FGCU because “the atmosphere is so positive and it reminds me of home. I can walk around campus and recognize familiar faces.” To all the incoming freshman, she encourages you to get involved in a few things that you love and stick with them because that’s where you’ll be most happy. The experiences that you make for yourself at FGCU will stay with you for life.
Lindsey is a sister in Alpha Chi Omega where she served as Vice President of Risk Management. In this position, she was a resource to her sisters to ensure that the policies were being followed. She, also, planned and executed socials and formals for her sisters. Lindsey was also a Rho Gamma for the Panhellenic Association. She led a group of girls through the Formal Recruitment process last summer. She highly recommends going Greek because of the leadership opportunities that can come with it.
